Thank you sir, this bill simply argues coastal community colleges to offer courses on commercial fishing and aquaculture.  Aquaculture courses are currently being offered at only two coastal community colleges. Coloret Community College and Burnswick Community College. Coloret Community College offers courses that could be transferred to a 4-year Marine Biology program at UNC Willington or East Carolina University. Burnswick Community College also offers some agriculture program though its curriculum focuses on fresh water agriculture. In North Carolina, there's significant potential for agriculture to become a greater source of income and economic prosperity for North Carolina commercial fishing industry. We have the largest estuary in the nation that doesn't spread across other states. There is expansive growth in oyster aquaculture sales also in Virginia but prufly flat growth in North Carolina.
